The 3rd annual Queer West Fest is 10 days of performing arts, art shows, public forums, panel discussions, community fair, Pride bicycle ride, dirty bingo, socrates cafe,art crawl,film & video festival, Chamber Choir and several dance parties (close 24 events this year). That celebrates, empowers and supports the diverse community of gay, bisexual, transgendered, transsexual, questioning and two-spirited (queer community) In Parkdale/Liberty, High Park, Dupont and Trinity Bellwoods neighbours of Gay Toronto's Queer West Village. All events wheel chair accessible. Some events are free, two are $5 and others PWYC.

Guess what’s new?? This year the University of Toronto will be having a team at the Pride and Remembrance Run (Saturday June 28th 10:00a.m.) as one of several events U of T is hosting in celebration of Pride Week 2008!

And we want you to join our team.

The Pride Run is one of the most enjoyable, fun, delectable events of the entire Pride weekend. You can walk, run, hop or wiggle the 3 or 5 km route. You don’t have to be a runner to participate!

The costumes are fabulous, the spirit is contagious and the Dufflets treats at the end are to die for. The U of T Pace Bunnies (our team name) urges you wait no LONGER and join us. The event always draws a fun crowd, and the participants raise oodles of money for community groups. Check out the website and register under U of T Pace Bunnies. We're planning to have our own U of T t-shirt, ears and bunny tails so you'll be sure to stand out in the crowd!

We think you should rally your office colleagues, fellow students, your partner and friends, and register. LGBTQ students, staff, faculty, alumni and allies strongly encouraged to participate. UT Pace Bunnies need CHEER Bunnies...along the route. All WELCOME!

T-shirt pick-up will be at the Pride Pub at Hart House June 26th between 6-8 p.m.

We will be back in touch about a couple of team gatherings prior to Saturday June 28th
