Queer Orientation Week Sept 15-21!
A group of students and staff from the three campuses are collaborating to bring to you Queer Orientation Week! This infamous week is for NOT just for new students to campus...it is for all LGBTTIQ2S identified students and allies who want to meet other students, connect in with what's happening on campus, and have a very different rather queer orientation to the University of Toronto!
Events are scheduled after the initial craze of first week or so on campus - there are a range of events to hook into throughout the week, whether you are a new or returning student, undergrad or graduate, at Scarborough, Mississauga or St. George campus. Looking to volunteer or want more information? please contact us
Are you interested in hosting an event at your college? or for your organization? Please let us know and we will post the event here and incorporate it into the Queer Orientation Week of events.
There are lots of details on Facebook: University of Toronto's Queer Orientation
Schedule is posted here: http://www.lgbtq.utoronto.ca/orientation

Join U of T in the Pride Parade
Marching is way better than watching.
Join us on Rosedale Valley Rd. as we prepare ourselves to march in the Pride Parade.
Pride Toronto's theme this year is "Unified," so the UT Pride Committee has decided to follow that theme by dressing as a sports team, or a Homecoming King or Queen. Fuck with gender. Come adorned in your athletic best (a jersey will be provided) and march - not just for fun, but for change. Joining us again is Samba Elegua, a local ensemble that will surely get you in the mood to march.
*1:00pm SHARP! Access to Rosedale Valley Rd. will be restricted after 1:00pm. You cannot join the parade after it has started.
Rosedale Valley Rd. --- Enter via Bayview or from Park Rd. (just off of Church St.)

U of T at the Pride & Remembrance Run
Guess what’s new?? This year the University of Toronto will be having a team at the Pride and Remembrance Run (Saturday June 28th 10:00a.m.) as one of several events U of T is hosting in celebration of Pride Week 2008!
And we want you to join our team.
The Pride Run is one of the most enjoyable, fun, delectable events of the entire Pride weekend. You can walk, run, hop or wiggle the 3 or 5 km route. You don’t have to be a runner to participate!
The costumes are fabulous, the spirit is contagious and the Dufflets treats at the end are to die for. The U of T Pace Bunnies (our team name) urges you wait no LONGER and join us. The event always draws a fun crowd, and the participants raise oodles of money for community groups. Check out the website and register under U of T Pace Bunnies. We're planning to have our own U of T t-shirt, ears and bunny tails so you'll be sure to stand out in the crowd!
The U of T Pace Bunnies team captains are Sara-Marni Hubbard and Myra Lefkowitz – so if you have any questions contact them at sara.hubbard@gmail.com or myra.lefkowitz@utoronto.ca
We think you should rally your office colleagues, fellow students, your partner and friends, and register. LGBTQ students, staff, faculty, alumni and allies strongly encouraged to participate. UT Pace Bunnies need CHEER Bunnies...along the route. All WELCOME!
T-shirt pick-up will be at the Pride Pub at Hart House June 26th between 6-8 p.m.
We will be back in touch about a couple of team gatherings prior to Saturday June 28th
In the mean time hop on the registration site and look for our team the U of T PACE BUNNIES!!! www.priderun.org
