Marching is way better than watching.

Join us on Rosedale Valley Rd. as we prepare ourselves to march in the Pride Parade.

Pride Toronto's theme this year is "Unified," so the UT Pride Committee has decided to follow that theme by dressing as a sports team, or a Homecoming King or Queen. Fuck with gender. Come adorned in your athletic best (a jersey will be provided) and march - not just for fun, but for change. Joining us again is Samba Elegua, a local ensemble that will surely get you in the mood to march.

*1:00pm SHARP! Access to Rosedale Valley Rd. will be restricted after 1:00pm. You cannot join the parade after it has started.

Positive Space challenges the patterns of silence that continue to marginalize lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transgender, transsexual and queer students, staff and faculty even in environments with anti-discriminatory and inclusive policies. The most visible symbol is an inverted rainbow triangle sticker that you will see in many places around campus.

U of T's Positive Space Committee was born in 1995 when a group of faculty, students, and staff formed an ad hoc group to discuss an initiative to increase visibility and talk about sexual diversity. The committee was created through informal networking throughout the campus. Meetings were held to discuss the issues and generate ideas.

We have a meeting scheduled for next Tuesday, March 6th from 12:10 - 2 p.m. at Hart House in the Committees' Room. It has been a busy winter terms and we have a full agenda (see below). It is time for a meeting of the Positive Space Committee. We will meet on Thursday, February 9th from 12:00 - 1:30PM at Hart House. The exact room will be on the information board at the porters' desk. Please bring your lunch and a friend.

The Positive Space Committee works to bring the campaign into as many spaces on campus as possible. It also works on projects and events throughout the year. This meeting is open to all U of T folks.
