Self Made Men's night out

This event is for men of transgendered experience/transmen who wish to build networks and/or courage to go to non-queer spaces and socialise. I will be wearing a white t-shirt that says "self made man" (with a syringe and scapel logo) so it's obvious to find the group but not forcing anyone to disclose (I have never had someone outside the community get the intended reference).

Please note: this event is geared to those already living full time as male.
Please further note: It is the same night as Degenerate, and many have spoken of meeting at Madison's early on and then moving as a group to Goodhandy's. So please come early to voice your preference to stay or go.

LGBTOUT's Annual General Meeting - Tuesday, April 18th

LGBTOUT's next General Meeting will be on Tuesday, April 18th at 5pm at the South Dining Hall in Hart House (ask at Hart House reception for directions). General Meetings are the forum through which LGBTOUT makes decisions concerning policy and events.

This is LGBTOUT's Annual General Meeting and will contain speeches from candidates running in LGBTOUT's elections. This meeting is an opportunity to ask these candidates any questions you might have as well as vote in the election.

If you have an agenda item or a motion you would like to have discussed at this GM, it must be submitted to internal@lgbtout.com by Sunday, April 16th. Only properly submitted agenda items or motions will be brought up at this meeting as it will already be long due to election issues.

Anyone wishing to vote by proxy at this meeting must send notification to internal@lgbtout.com no later than Monday, April 17th with the following information:
1) their name
2) the name of the member being authorised to exercise their vote
3) the date of the meeting for which the proxy will be valid

TRANS-101: A Workshop for Allies

Friday March 3rd

1PM-2PM:
Trans-folk will present "the basics" including terms and definitions like
'kinging', 'SRS', 'fluid', 'intersex' and 'two-spirited'. Will also address
basics of biological and social ideas of gender and sex, and TRANSPHOBIA.

2PM-3PM:
Q&A free-for-all. Anything goes – as long as you are being sincere.
Political correctness is not important. You have questions. We have answers,
suggestions, opinions, and advice.

3PM – onward:
Movies until you get bored or homesick, you can learn by watching awesome
genderfuckt movies like "Orlando" and "Hedwig and the Angry Inch"! Tea,
Coffee, and POPPING CORN will be provided.

We are located north of College, on the east side of Spadina. We are
wheelchair accessible through Bancroft Avenue. We provide TTC tokens for
sponsored meetings and events, and we may be able to provide childcare with

The Women Centre advocates on issues of racism and anti-semitism,
homophobia, transphobia, sexism, classism, disability, and ageism.
Specifically we work towards pushing equality for traditionally marginalized
groups. We work within the University of Toronto but commit ourselves to
making connections to other communities.
